Get up to Speed with STEM is a chance to see some of the UK’s most exciting science, technology & engineering inventions, and meet the people who design, build and operate them! Speak to businesses, inventors, apprentices and education providers on the future of these industries, at this showcase event, all free of charge!

The 2019 Get up to Speed with STEM event will be held at Magna Science Adventure Centre on Wednesday 27th March.

Get up to Speed for Education

This annual event is designed for young people, their families and teachers to see some of the UK’s best innovations first hand, hear from and talk to those involved in their success and learn about the future of the sector and its evolution through technology.

Introducing, inspiring, informing and interacting with Science, Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing. 

Linking the curriculum to real life experiences and exploring the diverse range of opportunities and pathways available in a stimulating, fun and interactive way.

Young People (8 to 25 years): There’s lots to see and do, get your hands on and speak to people already working in the industry including apprentices and graduates. Also find out about career pathways and opportunities.

Teachers/Lecturers: Find out about the wide range of career opportunities for young people across the sector, establish employer links and enhance curriculum delivery in a fun and interactive way.

Parents: It will help you find out about options for your son or daughter in the industry sector and ask questions of employers and education providers.

Get up to Speed for Businesses

Get up to Speed gives businesses the opportunity to showcase their business whilst helping to address the skills gap in engineering, giving something back to the community. Business events throughout the day give the opportunity to network with the sector and promote your company, whilst over 2000 visitors give the opportunity to look for your apprentices and workers of the future.
