With summer holidays in full swing, there’s nothing better than spending quality time with family sampling freshly made artisan street food and baked goods at Hepworth Wakefield, or treat yourself to some delicately hand-made gifted products from National Coal Mining Museum for England. Try your hand at a chocolate making workshop and wellbeing workshops at Cannon Hall Farm and see over 90 stands- all for free.
Market Day features over 20 handpicked stalls of artisan goods and street food, plus garden games and live music by Pip Mountjoy. Grab a fork and tuck into delicious street food and drink from stalls such as Blacker Hall Farm, Bubbles & Punch, Charlotte’s Ice Cream, Dim Sum Su, Frizza, Golden Balls and The Hull Pie Company. Visitors can attend talks about the current summer exhibition, Stanley Spencer: Of Angels & Dirt and be inspired by the artist’s love of village life and rural landscape.
Take part in a number of cool and quirky activities, such as Reet So’s Veggie Games, the number one worldwide vegetable game championships! Knock your friend’s potato heads down from the sky, see how many Squash Skittles you can score and play French onion Boules.
Visitors can take part in drop-in Energy Exchange sessions, where they learnt to bake from scratch with professional baker Ben Mills.

Yorkshire Crafts and Produce Fair at National Coal Mining Museum for England
The ideal fair for gifts and crafts, made by some of Yorkshire’s top independent retailers. Have a browse at our extensive range of crafts and gifts, perfect for presents or a little something for yourself. Visitors can taste some local specialities before embarking on a nature trails around the historic site of the National Coal Mining Museum, or book onto the guided pit tours with an ex-miner! Stalls include Claire bell jewellery,Primrose vintage home, Not just Raggy dolls by Andrea Goodhall, Hubble Bubble, Wood and stuff and Polly doodle designs, NikNik Cards and sample food from Denise Jams and chutneys.

From chutneys to crêpes, wellbeing to wooden wares, there’s something for both foodies and families alike! Visit Cannon Hall Farm 5-day food festival, showing 90 of Yorkshire’s finest exhibitors on the main field.
They’ll also be a Health, Healing & Wellbeing Marquee, one-to-one consultation stalls and an exciting programme of food demonstrations with Cannon Hall Farm’s top chefs, including a pork pie making workshop! Visitors are invited to grab a glass of bubbly and a slice of cake and enjoy some of the free live music that will be on offer throughout the weekend. For families, take part in e a whole range of activities for the little ones, such as Ministry of Chocolate’s famous chocolate workshops, or Fair and Funky’s awesome animal masks.
There’s also an array of fairground rides – not just for the kids either!
