Run, jump and climb! Explore over 100 acres of gardens at Harewood House.
See the brightly coloured spring plants burst into life in the Himalayan Garden as you jump across the stepping stones or enjoy the summer planting schemes on the Terrace with views across the Capability Brown landscape.
Join us in the Bird Garden to see our feathered friends including the penguins, flamingos and Molly the talking parrot. Head to the Farm where you can meet our family of goats, potbellied pigs, alpaca, rabbits, donkeys and more. Don’t forget our famous Adventure Playground too!
Step inside the house where you can dress up and discover life as a servant Below Stairs or see wonderful treasures in the lavish Georgian interiors.
This year visitors to the house will be able to enjoy a fascinating series of exhibitions celebrating Harewood’s Victorian history. Inspired by ITV’s ‘Victoria’ series which used Harewood as a location, you will be able to see beautiful costumes from the programme displayed in rooms where ‘Victoria’ was filmed.
Alongside the costumes personal objects owned by Queen Victoria will be displayed.
Daily highlights include:
- See the penguins being fed a spot of lunch
- Meet the animals in the Farm Experience with our Keepers
- Feed our hungry goats
- Join our House Guides for a Discovery Talk in the historic country house
- Enjoy a trip on the lake in our boat The Capability (selected bank holidays and weekends)
- Free family trails to explore the house, gardens and wildlife
