From dig to discovery, the JORVIK Viking Centre invites you take a trip through Viking York all the way back to the year AD960. Absorb the sights, sounds and smells of the Viking era, whilst witnessing a real-life Viking demonstrating how coins were created, taking home one struck just for you!
For a truly authentic experience, journey through the reconstruction of the city with the newly revamped ride experience. Observe how inhabitants of 10th-century York lived and be fascinated by the collection of unique Viking artefacts.
Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, Keighley
Explore the beautiful surroundings of the Worth Valley and experience the charm of travelling on a heritage steam train. Built in the 19th Century to serve the local mill trades, the Railway is over 4.5 miles long with six stations interweaved along the route. Steeped in history and character, the local area has ties with the woollen industry and of course, the Brontë’s literacy legacy. With so much to discover, Keighley Worth Valley Railway is a fun-filled day out that can be enjoyed by all the family.

Magna Science Adventure Centre, Sheffield
Raining outside? Take refuge with Magna Science Adventure Centre! Home to over 100 hands-on exhibitions, Magna promises to be an immersive and truly fascinating experience. Discover the wonders of Science and Technology through the four pavilions of steelmaking – Air, Earth, Fire and Water!
Splash in water, operate real JCB’s, marvel at a tornado made of fire and even blast a rock face! A day at Magna Science Adventure Centre is certainly like no other. Catch the explosive Big Melt show, a fascinating show based around ‘E’ furnace – one of the original electric arc furnaces, unused since the days of Sheffield’s booming steel industry.
Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds
At the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, home of the national collection of arms and armour, you can discover the weapons and armour of warriors through the ages – from early medieval knights to the modern-day soldier. There are treasures on display from around the globe, including a life-size armoured elephant, as well as the fabulous arms and armour of the Japanese shoguns, the royal houses of Europe and the kings of England.

The Deep, Hull
