‘Seas’ the day this November with a trip to The Deep! Don’t get crabby, bring your little nipper along to fun packed story and play sessions on 6, 13, 20 & 27 November at 9:30am or ‘bob’ down to Tranquil Tuesdays from 3pm on 6 November if you’d like a quieter visit – ideal for families with additional needs. Don’t waste time fishing about for great days out for the family this month! Make your mark with Eureka‘s Super Sunday – Print Making workshop on Sunday 18th November. This completely free creative club is specially tailored for disabled children and their families, so everyone can enjoy a seriously superb Sunday! For more inclusive fun join William’s Den for their Additional Needs Play Sessions on Wednesday 14th November. Everyone deserves the chance to play freely, that’s why William’s Den are providing quieter, calmer session for those with heightened senses.

Tropical World Leeds

The Royal Armouries Museum is certainly bring history to life for you this month. Whether it’s immersing yourself in the story of a First World War bullet, through live dramatic performances in their From Factory to Frontline‘ event on 10th & 11th November; or attending an action-packed weekend featuring the legendary Celtic queen Boudicca on 24th & 25th November, there will be loads of fascinating history to get stuck into. If you want to experience something a little more… alive this November then head over to Tropical World Leeds. Learn some weird and wonderful facts about your favourite animals as you navigate through different exotic habitats.

Unveil the secrets behind the life and work of the incredible Charlotte Bronte with a visit it to The Bronte Parsonage Museum. Their event ‘Parsonage Unwrapped: The Brontes on Tour‘, features fascinating details on how they achieved this transatlantic touring exhibition of Charlotte’s manuscripts and possessions. For something a little more fast-paced, whizz round a circuit in a Go-Kart or Mini-Landrover at Diggerland this month. Don’t worry if your little ones are driving you mad, simply put them in the driving seat instead and watch them race their energy away. Or maybe you’d prefer to settle down with Peter Rabbit, Santa and a good book for a magical experience at Flamingo Land. Santa will be visiting Flamingo Land every weekend from 24th November to read naughty Peter Rabbit’s Christmas Tale!

Nothing says welcome to winter like a good old panto! Cannon Hall Farm‘s Sleeping Beauty Pantomime is just the ticket to put you in a merry mood during the run up to Christmas. Join them on the 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th, 24th and 25th of November for an evening packed full of songs, slapstick, silliness and the traditional fairytale magic! Feeling wild this November? Tropical Butterfly House are providing enough Amazing Animal Experiences to fulfill all your wildest dreams. Whether it’s meeting some furry faces in the Lemur Walkthrough or becoming OTTERly besotted with Tropical Butterfly Houses otters during their talk and feeding experience, there’s plenty to get your claws into. 

As you may know, November marks the start of present purchasing season! If you’re stuck for gifts this year then why not treat a loved one to an amazing time at Emmerdale Studio Experience. They will get to visit iconic replica sets and stroll through the model village of Emmerdale! Or maybe you’d prefer to take them to MAGNA‘s Christmas Family Fayre so they can pick out their own unique gift. Along with an array of graft, gift and food/drink stalls, there will be a selection of traditional fairground rides AND a chance to meet Santa himself! If you’re wanting to make your office Christmas party one to remember this year then York City Cruises have got the perfect solution with their Christmas Party Nights Afloat. Start the night off with a glass of delicious Christmas punch, dive into a 2 course festive BBQ buffet and finish the night on a high with disco and dancing to all your favourite Christmas classics.

Santa travels far and wide to every corner of the earth, delivering presents and spreading joy! Yorkshire Wildlife Park are also spreading some worldly joy with their international festive feast at their ‘Glittering Party Nights‘, starting on 30th November. Indulge in a three-course Christmas buffet and then slide onto the dance floor to get your groove on to their dangerously good DJ. Or for more family festive fun take a trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park‘s Christmas Fair on 8th & 9th and 15th & 16th December. Warm yourself in their giant heated marquee while you mosey around the 60 different craft, gift, food and drink stalls. If you want to dance the day away, join Keighley & Worth Valley Railway for their Haworth Steampunk weekend from 23rd – 25th November. There will be Music, Marching Bands, Dancers, Entertainers, Burlesque Performers, Vintage Vehicles and much more; all in the style of the science fiction sub-genre inspired by the western 19th century industrialisation.

Fireworks night only comes round once a year, so why not make the most of it with a trip to Lightwater Valley for their Fabulous Fireworks event on 3rd November. It’s sure to be a picture of delight as the carefully choreographed display is set to music and is set over their picturesque Swan Lake. Or maybe you’d prefer to get wowed by the treasures on display in York’s Jorvik Viking Centre. The British Museum are collaborating with Jorvik for a 3 year exhibition, featuring some fantastic weaponry, coins and jewellery. Now with Jorvik’s new updated ride, this month is the ideal time to experience medieval life!

Escape from the winter chills with a cosy day out to Xscape Yorkshire‘s Cineworld and check out their November Film Guide! View some of the best must-see films this month such as Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Gindelwald, all on their brand new 270-degree ScreenX. Or why not head over to The Hepworth Gallery this month for a vast variety of stimulating and exciting events. Take your little ones to one of their terrific Toddler Tuesday events for a relaxing, creative workshop, without the worry of mess!

Santa's Sweet Adventure

Christmas is just around the corner, which means Santa will be a very busy man. Make sure you don’t miss out on meeting him at the National Coal Mining Museum of England, before he’s bogged under with present delivery duties! He’ll be residing in his Santa Underground grotto from the 24th November, ready to delight all the children on his Nice list! If you don’t fancy descending 140 meters underground to see Santa then you’ll be able to catch him at York’s Chocolate Story‘s Santa’s Sweet Adventure. They will be decking their chocolate tours with boughs of Holly as the kids help Santa save Christmas from disaster. This mouth-watering mission starts on 24th November, so get your (ice) skates on!

Start your November off with a bang this year as you join Thornton Hall Country Park for their Bonfire and Firework Extravaganza on Saturday 3rd November. With an incredible firework display, huge bonfire, a bar and live entertainment, it’s sure be a November night to remember. Or for a Christmas experience like no other join Thornton Hall Country Park from 1st – 24th December for their Christmas adventure extravaganza. Make sure to bid farewell to Autumn 2018 in style, by joining Harewood House for their last Autumn Glory: Half Term Finale weekend. There will be Seasonal Cookery Demonstrations, Autumn Nature Trails and a chance to visit their Giant Sculptural Forest. Or, if you’re already thinking about the festive period then Harewood House‘s ‘At Home with Father & Mrs Christmas‘ will be right up your chimney, you’ll even receive a personalised Christmas gift!
